The Singapore dollar is the official currency of Singapore and is also unofficially used in Brunei. One dollar is divided into 100 cents. The currency is issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Banknotes in circulation are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 500, 1000, and 10,000 dollars, and coins of 1, 5, 10 dollars and 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 cents.
The Singapore dollar is the 13th most traded currency globally as of 2020 and one of the strongest in the Asia-Pacific region. It is used in Brunei as well, while Brunei's currency is accepted in Singapore.
