The Guinean franc is the currency of Guinea, divided into 100 centimes. Banknotes range from 100 to 20,000 francs, and coins are in 1 to 50 centimes.
Introduced in 1959, it was replaced by the syli in 1971 but reintroduced in 1985. 25 and 50 franc banknotes were replaced with coins.
No one-cent coins have been issued. The 500 franc note, introduced in 2019, is the smallest in use, while the 100 franc note was discontinued after one year.
