The Czech koruna (CZK) is the official currency of the Czech Republic, abbreviated as Kč. Introduced in 1993 after the split of Czechoslovakia, it replaced the Czechoslovak koruna. One koruna is divided into 100 haléřů, although haléř coins are no longer in circulation. Banknotes are available in 100, 200, 500, 1000, 2000, and 5000 denominations, while coins come in 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, and 50 Kč. The Czech koruna is known for its stability and is widely used in international trade within Central Europe.
