The Singapore dollar is the official currency of Singapore. This currency is also unofficially used by Brunei. One dollar is divided into 100 cents. The currency is issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. In circulation are banknotes of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 25, 50, 100, 500, 1000, and 10,000 dollars, and coins of 1, 5, 10 dollars and 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 cents.

History of the Singapore Dollar

The Serbian dinar was first mentioned in the Middle Ages in 1214, and historical sources state that it was used until 1459. The first modern dinar appeared in 1868 and was in use until 1920, but due to World War I, the dinar was abolished. However, the current dinar was reintroduced in 1941 and is still in use today.
