Indonesian rupiah IDR

The Indonesian rupiah is the currency of Indonesia, divided into 100 sen. Banknotes range from 1000 to 100,000 rupiah, and coins from 100 to 1000 rupiah. Introduced in 1945 during the independence war, it replaced the Dutch gulden and Japanese-issued rupiah by 1949. In 1965, due to high inflation, a new rupiah was issued at a rate of 1 to 1000.
